Lunch Volunteers
At Waynewood, the following steps are being taken to help students have lunch as safely as possible:
- Limiting the number of students at cafeteria tables for lunch,
- Using seating charts across settings to limit exposures in the classroom, in specials classes, and at lunch,
- Continuing to eat lunch and snacks outside when weather permits (please ensure your child has weather appropriate clothing)
- Using the gym as an additional lunch space when the weather does not permit outside eating (don’t forget a towel or yoga mat; volunteers are needed).
Thank you to those who have been continuing to volunteer to help with lunch.
If you cannot commit to a regular shift, dropping in when you can is fine, especially if we have last minute cancellations. If you do have to cancel your shift, please do so ASAP, so we can attempt to fill the slot.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN UP and everyone who signs up to help must check in at the front office, and follow all current safety guidelines and procedures.
FCPS does require that our lunch volunteers get background checks.
You can start to volunteer, but please try to complete this process ASAP.
They have copies of this form and guidelines for volunteering at the front desk in the office.
Feel free to fill out a paper copy when you go to volunteer and leave it with Mrs. Hope or Mrs. Chilton to be signed and submitted by Mrs. Cachine.
