International Night
Waynewood families didn't need to pack their bags to get a taste of the world this week because the world came to them in the form of the first PTA International Night.
Waynewood families showcased Bosnia, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, England, Germany, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, Scotland, South Africa, Poland and Venezuela. Visitors were given a WWES passport and received stamps after visiting booths that included informational displays and food items. Students could even visit a booth with a henna artist.
We were honored to also be joined by World Central Kitchen, a non profit that provides meals in the wake of natural disasters around the world. In addition to sampling food, families were able to check out an amphibious food relief vehicle that is used to deliver food in flood destroyed areas.
